SLO 101 – Fundamentals of Leadership
Module Objective
To introduce learners to the fundamental concepts, theories, principles and practices of leadership and help them understand the role of leaders in organizations.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module, learners should be able to:
• Define leadership and distinguish it from management.
• Explain the importance of leadership in organizations.
• Describe major leadership theories.
• Identify different leadership styles.
• Explain the characteristics of effective leaders.
• Apply basic leadership principles to workplace situations.
